ABSTRACT:

Many of today’s current systems of customized and inflexible identity sources, each with its own representation of identities, are making it difficult to securely deliver services to both internal and external users. With the increase of secure applications deployed on the web, organizations are faced with a common challenge: The need for a unified view of user directories.

In this paper, explore how virtualization solves the issue of directory integration using an approach that is cost effective, non-intrusive, and easy to deploy. By externalizing identities into an interoperable service that can be accessed by a variety of applications, organizations can securely deliver services to their users more efficiently.
